“Wow!” Pinhole Camera Reveal...
Such a fun Sunday morning at a workshop hosted by @fremontphotoco with @pinstafanatics, @martin_vanners, Jan, and @therawartcollective showing Pinsta cameras. A group of us got the how-to, then found some cool stuff to photograph with the Pinsta. It uses 4x5 photo paper (not printer paper), and you develop it in minutes inside the camera. It sounds crazy, but it is easy and works great.
Everyone has such anticipation when it is time to reveal the Pinsta photo, and POW! there it is — like a magic trick!
In this case the photo is a negative, so you take a phone photo of it, invert it to a positive, and flip it to see the lettering correctly.
This was by my photo partner for the day. We shared a camera and helped each other with exposure and timing. I think this one timed out at about 1 minute 30 seconds.
I love her shot of the wall of street signs and the traffic light that Fremont Photo has in their backyard for photo ops like this.
I’ve had a Pinsta pinhole camera for a while, but I think for everyone else it was their first time.
The group got some great shots, and some used it for portraits, with a ghost image of the person made easy by the long exposures pinhole cameras need.
New stuff to try!
Thanks to everyone involved!
