Rust never sleeps - The hard working 1948 to 1953 Ford F-4 truck had a flathead V8. That was the engine that brought an affordable reliable easy to work on V8 to the masses. At the time a V8 was used by other brands in expensive luxury cars.
The flathead is still popular with hot rod builders and vintage racers.
The F-4 became the F-350 with an overhead-valve V-8.
This was taken during a photo shoot at Eldorado Mine in Nelson, Nevada. The location features numerous cars, equipment, and old buildings, making it an excellent spot for capturing great photos. It's a popular venue for weddings and is often rented for professional photo shoots. They also offer mine tours.
I attended an event there with Las Vegas camera shop, B and C Camera, and Sony, which included models, lighting, camera and lens rentals, as well as mini classes on photography. It was a lot of fun.
Some of my favorite photos from the day can be found in this Flickr album
